Davison wins at Pomme de Terre
Congratulations to Chad Davison for weighing in 15.56 lbs to win at Pomme de Terre. Chad had Big Fish as well which weighed 5.04 lbs. Second Place was taken by Bill Virden with weight of 14.60, Third Place was taken by Rodney Edwards and 2nd Big Bass with a weight on 13.65. Jason Clines followed close behind with 13.48 and Gary Jones finishing out the top five in close fashion at 13.45. Here are the complete results.
This is how Chad caught the winning stringer. He stated that he caught all of his fish in spawning areas with pea gravel and mixed rock 3ft-6ft deep using a soft plastic finesse rig. The big fish was half way back in a creek, but most bites came close to the main lake in pockets near the channel. He culled 5 times throughout the course of the day. He pulled into a main lake cut at 2:30 pm that I had never fished before and culled the last two small fish I had to give me the extra couple pounds he needed for the win. He stated "It was an exciting day, and I feel very fortunate to get the win considering the number of great fishermen that fish your events."
The "Ewing Signal Angler of the Year" race is in full swing with only one point determining the leader. There is only 30 difference in the top five with two tournaments to go. Our next tournament is at Stockton Lake May 27th out of Crabtree Cove Access.
