Paul Combs Wins at Stockton

We had 84 anglers turn out for the Solo Pro Series season opener at Stockton today! Results are posted at www.soloproseries.com Congrats to Paul Combs with just over 18 lbs, he took home $2,052 (for 1st place & 2nd big bass). Bill Dennis took second and earned $1,810 (w/sidepot). Third place went to Nalon Jones ; he won $1,200. It was a great season opener.

"My keys were the Garmin MaxDef mapping and Garmin Panoptix.  I caught a couple on a jerkbait early and found some deeper stretches against some banks off the beaten path that you cant see on any other maps and I filled out my limit doing that with a homemade painted wiggle wart.  I then used the Garmin Panoptix with some brushpiles I found with SideVu and I would fish these brushpiles as you would visible cover but watched my graph with Panoptix since they were 10ft deep and it allowed me to stay off the brush and pick each brush pile apart. I culled a half a pound and caught that 7.60 in the last hour with my brother Travis homemade swing jig." Paul Stated.
