POMME DE TERRE LAKE - Huge bags were weighed in at the fourth stop of the Solo Pro Series at Lighthouse boat ramp this past Sunday with take off at 6 a.m. Bluebird skies and a chilly start turned into a hot cloudy day with north western cross winds. The “Dock Talk” was that a lot of the fish caught early were quite small, but as the day progressed the bigger ones came out to play. A huge thank you to Clearlight Inn, for providing rooms for the anglers.
Scott Hill weighed in a solid five fish limit at 24.21 lbs which earned him first place honors. “In the morning I had a pretty consistent bite, but as the day progressed it slowed way down,” said Hill. Fishing primarily in the Pomme de Terre river arm, he used a Choppers ⅝ oz PB&J jig in deep structure off of main lake points. All his fish were caught anywhere from 15 to 20 feet deep.
